Saturday 10-04-08

We've had another good week. Kuala Lumpur and Oman now have pins on our visitors map. Better still, those folks from other "far away places with strange sounding names" keep coming back and so have you. Thank you. One small piece of business, by popular demand the Ukuleles of Halifax and We Shall Not be Moved have been positioned further down the playlist - talk about rough crowds! I'll be back with more recipes on Monday, but till then........

1) A wonderful CHALLAH from Jeff Hertzberg one of the authors of Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day. It's a great book! Jeff paid us a quick visit this week - see comments for Swedish Limpa Bread.

2) A REVIEW of the book Renewing America's Food Tradition by Gary Nabham at An Obsession with Food.

3) and, finally, food for thought: We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons. ~Alfred E. Newman

Have a great weekend......Mary
