An Assortment of Christmas Confections - Pink Saturday

With Christmas just a week a way, those of us who contribute to Pink Saturday were asked to share a favorite carol with our readers. I am especially fond of Art Garfunkel's lovely arrangement of "O Come All Ye Faithful." I hope you will enjoy it, too.

I suspect that most of you are finished with your holiday baking or know exactly which sweets and treats remain to be done. On the off chance that you still need an idea or two, I'm including recipes that are or have, in the past, been part of our Christmas celebration. These are confections that don't fit neatly into other categories. They are all lovely recipes and I'm delighted to share them with you.

Candied Walnuts

Southern Nut Cake

Forget-Me-Not Fudge

Christmas Pudding

Pink Peppermint Patties

Baby Jesus Birthday Cake

Candied Orange and Lemon Peel

Kris Kringle Ginger Cakes

White Chocolate Truffles

Caramel Corn

Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Holidays to you and your family, dear Mary.

I don't think I had heard this version of this song, but I love it. I have always been a fan of both Art Garfunkel and Peter Simon.

That Southern Nut Cake looks like something we would love. I'm already wishing I had a slice to go with my morning cup of coffee.

They all look great Mary! I just said yesterday that I thought I'd make some chocolate covered candied orange peel for Ma. Your link is broken, if you get a chance could you try to fix that? I'll check back later:@)

What beautiful music to listen to as I read through your post, Mary, and scrolled through the lovely pictures of your Christmas treats. The names were particularly compelling, and I will be chasing after some of them in a minute here. I just want to give you a giant metaphoric hug and wish you a very Merry Christmas. I really feel the spirit of the season on your site today.

Hi Mary, I too love this song. It is a blessing to many. It brings us closer to the meaning of Christmas.

Yes, my baking is pretty much done but we are going to our daughter in Jax, FL for Christmas and we will be cooking up something special. All you shared sounds delicious. Thak you for the ideas for a special treat. The nut bread is my fave.
Wishing you Merry Christmas blessings.
Hugs, Jeanne
