From the kitchen of One Perfect Bite...Smoothies for a mob? I'm a coward and would never attempt it, but I've just come from a breakfast where it was done successfully. I thought those of you who regularly entertain large groups for brunch or breakfast, might like to make this smoothie for your family and guests to enjoy. There were about 50 people at the breakfast this morning. The smoothies were made about an hour before serving and kept in half-gallon containers. The containers were given a vigorous shake before the drinks were served, but there was no unsightly mess to spoil the appearance of the lovely tables that had been set for breakfast. The recipe can be doubled or tripled, but remember the limitations of your blender. Even an average batch will have to be made in two parts and then mixed together. I think you'll like this. It is a fast, easy and inexpensive way to help feed a gang. Here's the recipe.
Strawberry Orange Smoothies...from the kitchen of One Perfect Bite, courtesy of Deb Mac Neil

1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained

That's a great summer smoothie! Love the pink colour, which just reminds me of one of your theme: Pink Saturday!
My daughter will be all over this - she's gaga about smoothies! Only trouble is the cleanup after :P
Thanks Mary!
Sounds so refreshing! Beautiful photo :) Thanks for sharing!
i make smoothies once in a while. thanks again for sharing!
Smoothies are one of my favorite breakfasts/snacks... This sounds great! Thanks for sharing :)
That is a very delicious and beautiful looking smoothie....also very refreshing on a hot day! Yummy!
I know it will be hard to believe, but at my advanced age I've never had a smoothie. Somehow the texture has never appealed to me, and I'd rather eat my calories. The colour of this one is very pretty, though, and if my daughter were to make it I might take a sip.
I cannot imagine making smoothies for a crowd of 50! Even storing them for an hour in gallon containers, as you mention, seems kinda strange..... but worth a try..... We LOVE smoothies around here, so there's never the possibility of having to store them or to wait for them!
Refreshing with lovely color...
They sound great Mary, beautiful color:@)
You made smoothies for 50 peeps?! WOW! What was that for? My boyfriend (who doesn't cook/make anything) made me a white chocolate peanut butter blueberry smoothie the other day... yum!
I do, in fact, need to co-host an after-church breakfast-like function in a few weeks. Perfect! Just a little different from the average fare.
Love smoothies, especially this time of year & this one is loaded with fruit & sounds delicious. I do mine by the glass though. :)
just so pretty in color and refreshing very nicely done!
Looks pretty and I bet it tastes fantastic!
Yummy looking! And so pretty. You've got me heading to the fridge, looking for some yogurt and fruit!
It looks great! I'm your newest follower. =]
The Cinderoo loves a good smoothie---I'll pass this along.
Mary, that sounds great!!! We have a protein smoothie almost every morning. I'll have to add pineapple to list of yummy fruits to enjoy in our drinks.
Hope you're having a great Pink Saturday! dana
What a delicious refreshing and healthy drink! Gorgeous picture!
It looks delicious, and what a clever way they thought of to make them, ahead of time and for all those people.
Oooh! Its definitely smoothie season, and this one looks great! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent! My family reunion is on this weekend (couldn't make it myself) and my cousin was whinging about not having any ideas for easy and delicious meals for the masses. Absolutely sending this her way!
I just made the White Wonder Cake you posted quite awhile ago. I came across it through the "you might also like..." pictures at the bottom, and I have to tell you that it was SO delicious! I didn't think it was that easy to make a lemon curd filling, and I almost made extra frosting, but it's so rich I'm glad I didn't.
Also, the picture of that smoothie makes me want to run to the store right now and pick up the fruit to make it :) I know it's another thing on my shopping list now!
Sounds perfect! And so pretty. It is close to my own recipe - but I've never done the pineapple - will definitely try that addition!
Nothing would be more refreshingthan that great drink. It is so hot here.
Nothing better than a refreshing summer smoothie on a warm day! This sounds delicious!
I'm going to have to curb my ice cream intake and get excited about smoothies. This recipe looks like a keeper!
now that is a beautiful, fruity smoothie - love all the flavors mingling around...
I've recently gotten on a smoothie kick. My blender hasn't seen so much action in years! A smoothie party would be a lot of fun, and now I'm thinking tomorrow is Strawberry Smoothie day!
This is perfect for my next outdoor party. Thank you.
Everyone in my family loves smoothies...and I do too! I'm glad to have a recipe that makes a big batch. Thank you for sharing today...this cool drink is making me want to get into the kitchen (even though it is 105 degrees right now!) You are a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
absolutely divine..delicious click again..:)
Tasty Appetite
For me, in the summers, smoothies are the perfect breakfast. And I usually have strawberries to throw in there!
Please may we come live in your kitchen?
I love smoothies and this one looks so refreshing for the summer months!
Mary, this sounds luscious for an afternoon treat! Orange plus strawberry = saliva :o)

Wow making smoothies for 50 sounds like a recipe for having fruit puree on your ceiling. These look so good, though! I'm thinking a smoothie for ONE is in order.
Mary, We have smoothies for breakfast a couple of times a week. Nice recipe for your strawberry smoothie. We've been making ours with a lot of strawberries, half and half, a little sugar, a banana and ice. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Nica, I'm so glad you liked the cake. It is a favorite of mine. I had to respond to your comment here because I couldn't find a blog of yours that was active. If you have a spot where you'd like responses sent, please let me know. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary
This smoothie looks refeshing and delicious Mary!! And so very pretty! :)
xx,
Tammy
I love this smoothies Mary! gloria
The color of the smoothie is so beautiful. I love to have a smoothie when I feel like having some fruit but don't want to eat it. A smoothie is the perfect way to have fruit and savor the flavors. I hope you have a great week!
Wow, so many good flavors! Refreshing & healthy!
Marion has been on a smoothie kick for weeks now. One more to add to her repertoire.
Thanks for sharing, Mary...
We are quite the smoothy family, so this looks like an easy and delicious recipe. :) ~ Courtney
